Talking MegaSubs

I am thinking of adding 4 Xtant 12 inch Subs and 2 Xtant amps

Here is a Link
http://www.xtant.com/html/products/X12.cfm

I bid on Xtant amp rated for 1000 watts but its closers to 2000 watts if your use Sony's way of rating the wattage

The other channels are powered by a Pioneer Elite block.. 55watts x4 channels

It sounds like a great way to rattle your frame loose and kill your battery again. Have fun!

Xtant amps put out REAL power! I have one on my test bench I use for testing speakers when I design systems. Ruler flat response down to 20 hz! I have a2x100w amp (2200i) puts out 400w in mono no problem. too bad its too large for my car.

Yea, I know... but I NEED car for daily driving & errands. I'm goona go with a couple smaller amps under seats maybe or custom amp rack in rear side. we'll see...

xtant makes some of the best amps you can find. they are underrated and probably actually put out closer to 1400 watts rms. the differences in the ratings xtant an other higher end car audio man. use and lower end stuff such as sony is rms, or continuos power. sony and the likes use peak ratings that the amps usually don't ever come near.
as for the subs, i don't know how much you want to spend on them, but judging by the amp, you seem to want really nice stuff. other options you might want to look into for subs are adire audio brahma, resonance engineering xxx series and id max. i don't know much about xtant subs, but i am sure that the subs i mentioned are on par if not better than the xtant.

That does sound awesome. If you change your mind, go for the AudioBahn 34" sub. 5,000 Watts of power. If that doesn't give you the bass you want, get two . Oh, one caution. you have to sign a waiver before you can buy them. Something about causing loss of hearing, head injury, and possible death. I don't know about you, but I sa bring on the waiver.

Must be a heck of speaker at Speedorama my Cruiser was right next to a Blazer with 15,000 watts of amps 8 15 inch subs - no mid range or tweeters it just made lots of bass
