Default Stainless Steel Fender Trim HELP

Hello All
Input needed on installing chrome fender trim on my convertible. The brand is TFP and is the 4 piece type with the black trim piece behind and the chrome. It is about 1.5 inches wide. Instructions are for drill or no drill. There are only 4 screw holes near the bottom of each piece. And clips are also provided for a no drill application. Did you add 3m tape to the top to hold it to the wheel well??? Also I have a question about placement of the piece on the fender well.. Do you make it even?, start at the back or start at the front?.. Anybody install this kit and have you any advice/pictures?

Help..Help..

I used just the clips for my installation over 2 years ago. The trim fits really good and I've never had any problems. I positioned a 1" piece of 3M Red-line tape at the top center of the wheel well. It helped to hold the trim in position until I finished installing the clips. Oh, and I positioned the trim evenly. Took me about an hour to do the mod.

Thanks for the info.. Did you have to tuck it under the plastic piece in the front fender?? There doesn't seem to be a lip to attach the clips to. Same setup for the rear ones near the bumper.. You are a life saver..

The clips didn't seem to want to work so I drilled and used the screws on my installation. I started the installation at the top of the front mud flap. Didn't need 3m tape. Since I have Chariot skirts on the back the rear fender trim is still in the box.

Since you used the screws in the front.. Can you still use a non-snap type bra??? Thanks

To use just the clips, you have to loosen the plastic fender inner-liners first. Then, hook the clips close to their position, retighten the liner screws, then the clips can be slid to their finial position before being tightened & bent.
