low_pt, are you running 10 lbs of boost on a NA engine without internals being upgraded?
I am.. & have been for several years.

Passed a link over to PTcrew several of them I know would love to see this. Its been talked about many many times. But you are the brave one who said "F it, I'm doing it!"

Wish you the best of luck that it runs and runs well!

Very impressive and even more ambitious.

From NA to turbo has been done but is still not for everyone but auto to stick shift is a first that I know of.

*thumbsup* I chose the easy way and got a manual GT.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

I got into some of the wiring tonight, because I am still waiting for DCX parts...

Just in case anyone is wondering, you can do this mod like I did with an 01-02 PT w/ auto trans; where the TCM and PCM arn't integrated. The following wires need to be cut:

Located in C2 of the PCM (lower connector), you need to open up and cut:
Pin# 43 - K4:20BK/LB - Sensor Ground
Pin# 44 - K7:20OR - 8v Supply
Pin# 66 - G7:20WT/OR - Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal
Pin# 76 - T41:20BK/WT - Clutch Interlock Switch Signal

Very simply, the manual trans has a sensor that gives the speedo the "road speed". The TCM used to output this data to pin 66, but you get the same effect from the sensor located on the manual trans.

Wire the new manual trans VSS like this:
VSS Pin 1 - PCM Pin 44
VSS Pin 2 - PCM Pin 43
VSS Pin 3 - PCM Pin 66

And, finally, Pin 76 needs to attach to the clutch pedal sensor (located on the clutch pedal near the top). One end goes to this pin, the other goes to a ground source anywhere. This allows you to actually start the car; the TCM used this signal to prevent starting the car unless you were in P or N. Now, you have to depress the clutch before you can crank.

Some more pics...some DCX engineer is rolling over in his grave.

I rarely get on the srt anymore cuz I know it's fast, but when I do I show no mercy. I got a feeling I'd blow up stock internals at 10 psi eventually. Keep up the good work and am looking forward to you getting your ride on the road.

An N/A Cruiser has a bit more compression than a Turbo GT so 10 pounds of boost on a N/A engine is much more than 10 pounds of boost on a GT. I don't know the exact correlation but it's more.
