Default Rim finishes?

I'm trying to find some new tires/rims and I'm trying to figure out the different finishes.

What is hyper-light finish?

What is the difference between silver finish and chrome? Does the silver hold up? I love my factory chrome.

No clue on hyper-light.
Silver versus chrome.
My daughter & son-in-law both have PTs w/Chrome - on both it pits and flakes off. I've had silver cars and silver wheels on both my PTs - the wheels match the car perfectly, and are easy to care for and on my '02 looked brand new at 87,000 miles.

Does it have the same depth and reflectiveness as chrome?

It depends on what you drive in how the finish will hold up. If you drive in snow with road salt or even sand it can pit and chip and dull/tarnish if you don't keep them clean and protected. The key to keeping any of the finished looking good is to clean and protect. Wax the rims like you would the cars' paint and they will look good for a lot longer.

Finishes this is where pics help.

The one I don't have pics of is Powdercoat. It looks like paint is much tougher than paint, a bad but easy example of powder coating is file cabinets are sometimes powdercoated. Same type of care as you would with paint or chrome.

Hubcap on my Painted Wheel is chrome as is the wheel you see in the reflection. I know you know what chrome is, but I thought I would show a custom painted wheel too..

This is LiquidPT wearing Painted silver wheels also could be called Hyper-bright wheels. I looked on a few sights and the pics I saw looked his wheels so I am guessing its another name for a bright silver.

This Mike-in-Orange's PT wearing a painted wheel with a polished lip also could be called Hyper-dark.

No. It is exactly the same as the paint on the car.

Thanks for all your help! I've decided on red with chrome. I'll make sure to care for them properly. I have about 2 years worth of brake dust that refuses to come off the rims I have now... lol

No problem I wanted to know what Hyper-bright was too

Once a week or two depending on miles of a quicky wash will stop that from happening again. Along with switching to a ceramic or low dusting brake pad which can extend the time between washes. The OEM pads are horrid for dusting on the rims.

Will that also decrease the horrible squealing when I start to stop?

I do have a question.
For a 2001 Inferno red PT which do you think would be cooler:

I noticed REIDS had the same idea on the second one, though lol

The first one is Exel Wheels It also comes in yellow and blue
Second one was harder to track down, I saw a tiny picture here:
Ace wheels - Spark - Custom Wheels and Performance Tires at Customwheel.com
but have tracked it down these sites as well:
Dinosaur Tires - www.dinosaurtires.com
Mack S WHEELS

There seem to be two that look somewhat similar the Mack-S and the Spark
