the physical install was a snap, done in like an hour, had to drill holes in the floorpan and paint them to prevent rust, fish some wires through the sills and across the dash. Problem was and I knew this when I coughed up the $200 was that they were only for 2003 and up PTs. Well I was confident I could make them work anyway. The major problem was that there are many changes to the 2003-newer wiring harness and the plug and play connector wires did not match up. Well off that connector went and it was time to start probing wires with the multimeter. I have the service manual but the interior lights are controlled by a special module that allows the half brightness when car is shut off and controlls the dimming of the lamps. Unlike a normal circuit where the power is switched on and off, these interior lamps are powered all the time and the control adjusts the ground side. Took some doing but in the end was very simple.

plug and play=just plug it in to the existing wiring harness and it works without any chance of screwing something up.
