Default Flush Door Spears

I went to the Chicago Auto Show (Still pissed they didn't have a Dream 3 ) and noticed the new Cruisers had a flush door spear. Is there anyplace that I could get the Door spears that don't stick out that are painted the body color or that can be painted? Thanks... Dave

I think the spears on the current model are somewhat easily removed. I've seen several with the spears removed and the area is flattened. Someone out here will know the answer.

I removed mine (long story) and there is a depression in the place where the spears sat. I am debating whether to replace them with the MOPAR chrome metals ones or just leave them. I think Moss Motors has a flat polished metal spear. I am not aware of one that comes ready to paint.

I hope that helps. Blessings in Christ Jesus!

Bill @ surfnpt had some wooden ones...don't know if he's selling them or not. Pretty cool if you're into the woodie look

I've been debating taking the door spears off my PT. Makes for a smoother look.

It's easy & looks better than any of the replacement spears.

No spears. Unless you have the replacements molded at a body shop. Stick on & bolt on stuff doesn't appeal to me. The cleaner the better.

I put a lot of mileage on my cruiser and when waxing it notice the number of chips and burrs in the bottom side of the spears. I haven't removed mine and don't intend to since the next stop for road debris is my doors or rear fender. It's probably another one of those minor details that came around out of engineering demand more than asthetic design (like the chin spoiler).
