Hi guys! Has anyone bought a grill kit from this company(autogrill.com)?They are on Ebay and sell them at $24.99,they are chrome stips that usually cost over $60 at revel, moss or ptwoody. Also who makes the best looking one's?

I agree with NSCR FAN. Other folks have ordered inexpensive parts on ebay (from a source who shall remain nameless - okay PT Werks) and have had alot of problems (although I ordered from Werks once and DID receive my product, I would NEVER order from them again). Anyway do-it-yourself is the way to go on grille strips.

MOST eBay sellers are reputable. There are a few who give us ALL a bad rep, & that sucks.
In my case I can tell you that I SUPPLY websites with their more expensive kits, yet sell them as "non-branded" on eBay too.... at a discount. You can also do a DIY set up ( that's how I got started after all), but you will pay about the same in materials, then have to measure /cut/seal/install. Rather than just unwrap/read instructions/Install. Whatever you decide, *I* think the small investment makes a huge difference in the look & is worth the effort.

Most sellers really do charge a big price that makes doing it yourself more attractive. But I've seen some pretty sad DIY jobs and some amazingly bad retail kits from sellers who try to make you feel lucky just to eventually get the poor fitting crap you paid good money for. I've seen 2_2COOL's product and it is very well done, her prices are very reasonable for the great quality and she stands behind what she sells. So unless you really feel confident that you can make some of the complex cuts required to make a grille kit look good I think you couldn't do better than 2_2Cool to get a great product and superior customer service. ![]()

Well, thanks Blane! You know that I feel the same about yourself & your products. We've had several seperate transactions & I've always been very satisfied.
In general, a good rule of thumb is to e-mail eBay sellers BEFORE bidding on their product. The type of answers you get back are VERY telling in the kind of treatment you will receive. I can't tell you how many people I email & never hear from. Yet, they want me to spend my money on their item? No way! You must give good customer service to make a transaction pleasant. Sometimes NOTHING you do will make a buyer happy, but a lot of times that comes from a vague ad, or people who plain-out don't read the item description. That's why I look FORWARD to answering people's questions. I know then that we are all on the same wavelength & understand one another. Also- feedback is a great tool. Don't freak out over a couple of negatives....look at overall ...as I said, sometimes you just can't make someone happy, even if you try. BUT- a PATTERN of late or missing delivery / Broken or diffferent from description items could point to issues with a seller's reliabilty. NO ONE wants to lose their money & deal with the stress & hassles that go with trying to get it back ( case in point- Patrica). Having said all that..... Happy eBaying all! ![]()
