I don't understand why DC decided to use Lt. Pewter at all! My Black cruiser came with Pewter and looked weird! so I had it all colour co-ordinated. I spent ages deciding which way to go with the A/C vents...In the end I left them it matches the area round the A/C knobs,and I left that cos of the illumination.
BTW no more jokes about moving the steering wheel!

if your going through all the trouble to prep and paint the dash is it really a stretch to remove the dash pieces and paint them all at once in the same color?

I'm not doing the painting myself. Someone else is painting it. I already had my center bezel painted the pewter color & I had some pin stripping painted on the air bag cover, so I don't really want to repaint those pieces.
Yea I know, the 5 P's ("Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance", or in this case prior planning might have allowed me to paint everything the same color.) But at that time I wasn't planning on painting the dash top. You know how these mods just keep creeping up on you.

it's more paint and clear coat (for us pov people)
