Where to mount Xenon Ballasts???

I gonna install my HID kit myself but I was wondering where could i mount my ballasts. The area behind the headlight is very tight as some of you know. I was thinking of mounting them on the inside of the splash shield below the headlamp access door. Do you guys think that will work?? Any ideas will help.
