Rear accesories plug mod?

Has anyone modified their rear accesories plug to have power full time? Or wired it with a switch to work without having to have the key installed and on?
Im wondering if there is a quick way, much like the power window mod with a simple jumper wire.

There are no wires in the back of the PT that are allways hot. So you have to find the front of the wire at the fuse box and jump it there or run a new wire to the plug. I think it woild be a easy mod if you wanted a hot plug in the back.

Sorry for sending this thread off on a tangent, but I tried searching, to no avail, for something on this. Was it posted here somewhere, or in PTDIY? That would be nice to bypass the ignition switch for the windows.

The window mod is found on PTdoityourself.net Its simple procedure of using an inline spade fuse holder and two spade connectors to give power to the fuse all the time. Cost $3 total to make.

Be warned the rear window controls for the back seat stay illuminted unless you lock them out. I have had no ill effects on battery or performance from this, but it is noticeable at night and may attract attention from the wrong crowd.

I have done the window mod as well. No problems here eather. I do leave them locked out too. I didnt till i went to the car after dark and saw the rear switch lights on.
