Cool

I'm not sure that CruisinLaney is correct about Cruiser Motor Sports having these.

Mitch at Cruiser Motor Sports does not show these on his web site. You can call him at 909-924-3201 or contact him by email through his web site. Tell him they are the ones that you have seen on the California Cruisers site.

That is a picture of my car with the side pipes. I got them from CalCruiser. I have since found them in the JC Whitney catalog for $195.00. I paid about $500.00 from CalCruiser. It cost me about $350.00 to have a muffler shop install them.

Those are SWEET!!! But, as was previously stated, you'll be very low with ANY pipes. Mine rub up (or down) some driveways & over some speed bumps. Also when driving onto lifts at the exhaust/repair shops & my dealership has only one jack they can use on my car.... My PT was also put up on 3 seperate floor jacks to have 2 tires changed last time out. the special requirements usually kicks you to the 'end of the line' when dealing with tire repairs, oil changes, etc....when lifts are used ( because of the additional time/labor factor).
So, I highly recommend them if you don't have isses with these drawbacks!
My PT has a 2 inch drop & non-functional lakepipes. My clearance is less than 3.5 inches.And..... I wouldn't take them off on a bet!

I've given up on this mod for a while, I am investing the money in new upholstery for the seats.
Car goes in the shop tomorrow, pics to follow.

I researched this sidepipe mod a while back, but every muffler shop I went to recommended against it because of the lack of clearance under the car for the exhaust pipes that go from the engine out to the sidepipes. My car is a daily driver (including snow). So maybe if your PT isn't a daily driver, the clearance might not be an issue.
I had to settle for lake pipes instead.

No, the lake pipes don't scrape. The problem with the functional side pipes for me was the clearance for the pipe going from the side pipe to the header. That pipe had to hang lower than the side pipe to go under a lip that runs the length of the car.
If my car wasn't a daily driver (especially in the snow), I might have tried it anyway. I had a set like these on a 1977 Datsun KIng Cab mini truck I used to own, & I would have loved to had them on my PT.
