Default Big and Littles (tire sizes)

Who is running larger tires or tires/wheels in the back for that fat tyred look????
Has the fat rubbber affected ride or handling? i.e. more tread on the pavement, more grip, and heavier thus changing sprung/unsprung weight ratio....

Eh?

You can't do it if your PT Cruiser has ABS. With ABS the front and rear tires must be within 5% of each other. Otherwise it will work. I don't think there is any advantage to larger rear tires since the Cruiser is FWD.

I'd like to hear from anyone who's done it on a PT also. I tried it on a '64 Stingray (way back then) & the handling went to hell. After a 15 minute test drive on the freeway, took it back in & put same size back on the rear. Looked cool though! (No ABS on the PnuT.)

DREAMWERXX (Sharm) has done it! Looks neat, and he is without ABS.

Hopefully he will read this and reply!!

I like that idea. The only thing I can think of that would be 'bad' is that you won't be able to rotate them.

I don't see how this could be of much benefit with front wheel drive.

COME ON GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets not talk BENEFIT here.

This is LOOKS.

The retro

The Roadster feel

The Prowler idea

The old days

The running of skinny VW bias ply tires on narrow rims in the front of your roadster and on the back a set of STEEL wheels you got from yer stock car buddies and hadda cut out the inside of the rear wheel well so they could fit!!!!!

When there is an epidemic of hang on chrome goodies going about, no need to consider FUNCTION here !

YeeeeeeeeeeeeeHAH!

Ya, Lars. I thought that's where you were going. I like the idea, but I've got ABS.
