I don't know, Lars. Back in the old days, we also had a term--"boy racer." Remember that?

Default Dont know much about....

(intro with musical notes...) bout boy racers
but do know there wuz a lot of bench racin goin on......

And for the FWD cars using big and littles is not particularly useful except looks. Rears wider and more grip meaning more oversteer. Car probably neutral to oversteer rather than biased towards understeer which is safer.

On a V8 powered '32 roadster it looks totally right..but on a PT, that everybody and thier brother knows is a FWD car..with a semi-anemic 4 cylinder..it looks a little strange. No offense, but it's not much different than the people who put fake blowers on their hood. One way it might look OK, is if the car is lowered down around them, and not all jacked up. Just my personal opinion.

I'm with you, 2-tone. It's not nearly as ridiculous looking as the monstrous spoilers on tuners, but like you said everyone knows it's a FWD. The other thing nobody mentioned is extra weight. Don't bigger wheels and more rubber weigh more? I would think that has an adverse affect on acceleration. Maybe it's not enough to make a difference.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Different strokes for diff folks.....

And we ALL are driving a retro vehicle, in looks anyway, they sure as H _ _ L werent FWD jobs.......

So we ALL are working in a phase of retro, others are trying to make the PT into a smooth street rod, others into a kustom.

There is evidently room for ALL.

PS- Dont recall that I EVER said I was going to go to this option.... we are BRAINSTORMING here gang.......

another big Yeeeeee HAH!

Which is the beauty of a PT cruiser. It's the perfect blank canvas for one to purchase and modify to suit their own tastes and make it a fitting extension of their personality.
I'd like to go with a big and little setup, but I have ABS, and I'm working on a little bit different look currently.
