I gotcha. I am do it yourself person too.. Do you think that the Gold color will match? I have heard that the body color is a multi-step color.. I wish you luck on your project I have done it.. If you get it right it will really tie the dash together.. One tip I have for you is spray on the clear coat really wet, not dripping just kind of heavy...

Default Down ?

Naw , we don't think anybody is actually down on us ! BTW we are trying to bring the painted trimplate to market at $49.95 , no gaurantees but thats the target . Also the Inca Gold ( or if you have 2001 Aztec yellow but same color ) is not a multi step process , its just prime , color and clear coat . Only the Inferno red is a multi coat , prime , pigment , metalized pigment , then clear . And definately go as wet as you can without running the paint on the clear and do it with at least 70 degrees in the room .

Rapid Craft knows what he is talking about when he says make it as wet as you can. I painted the Center Console Inferno Red and if you don't make it really wet you will not get the depth or the shine to match the exterior. Even multiple clear coats will not bring out the wet look or depth unless it is sprayed heavy.

Because we have to wait to see their offerings...and wait...and wait...

In the meantime, Pro-Felge sells a very nice painted center console. I have one and it looks great and fit perfectly. Highly recommended.

A month and a half is not so long from start-up to product on the shelves...

I would imagine they are making more than one of each item they are planning to offer...

$49.95 for a painted center console is a great price! Not sure what it goes for in price, but I would imagine at least $20.00 - $25.00 wholesale...

Rome was not built in a day, or even in a month and a half.....

I don't know anything about Rapidcraft, but I know a little bit about business...

First off, you need an idea, then you need to sell the idea, that is convince the people who will provide the money they will get a fair return for their investment, then you have to find either a manufacturer who will, at a resonable cost, make what you are selling, or get all the equipment, building(s), staff, materials, and shipping set up. Then you have to market what you are selling, and finally find a point where what you have invested will make a return at a price people will pay for what you have...

I would imagine that this proccess has taken a lot longer than two short months...

On top of all that, you have to have enough money set back just to meet your and your family's own upkeep, let alone travelling around trying to get this all going...

I commend any one who has the spirit to start their own manufacturing concern from the ground up...

If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it....

Just my $.02 worth.........................
