Default front speaker ?

ok, does anyone know the maximum mounting depth for the speakers in the doors? i just ordered some without thinking of checking into this first. i may be sitting on a set of speakers that i cant use soon. please help me as soon as you can because i may be able to stop shipment.

I don't have that info on me, but you can likely find it at the Crutchfield web site. When I replaced my door speakers, I found that the depth was quite generous. Don't worry.

the speakers i ordered are 3 3/4 inches deep. think it will work?

That should work. Where did you order them from?? I highly recommend getting XTC foam baffles from Crutchfield. They will add extra punch to the bass and protect the speakers from water and dirt.

well they didnt fit. the magnets hit the window when i roll it all the way down. anyone got any suggestions for some good speakers that will fit??

ok old installers trick here build the door outwards towards the panel i know u got about 3 and a half inches before the panel hits the speaker .small piece of 1/2" thick plywood or mdf will do it 4u ,but make sure to dynamat the surface area between the spacer and the door metal......
