lookin at bob's bumper, i can mount the cruiser bracket along the lower edge and pumps some rubber bumpers along the top edige of the plate to keep it level.

The Mirage front facia was made not to accomodate a front license plate and trying to jury-rig one on would likely look lousy. I'd go with the front windshield approach. It should satisfy the gendarmes.
