Default New Taillights

Here are a couple of pics of my new carbon-fiber taillights. They're Generation 2 APC's, and I know about their earlier problems, but I haven't heard anything bad about this version yet, and I just fell in love with the look because they match the black and red flames on my car car so well that I just had to do it!

Here's the second pic. The turn signals are are on and blink red, but came out yellow in the photo. They seem well made, snap into place tightly, and fit very well. The whole install didn't take more than 10 minutes.

WOW, looks great. I want a set, just waiting to see if they have the problems the old ones had.

I saw some just like at the dealership...but they had little chrome "eyebrows" over the lights...
I want them( hate the non-matching red on my car), but can't chance it again... These look like they SHOULD be legal because of the reflector to the side......

I've seen 2 versions of these lights. The ones like mine have the opening in the side of the lower light that acts as a side marker light, thus assuring that they are legal. The ones that have the chrome eyelids don't have this opening and therefore can't be seen from the side (except for the reflector). They may or may not be legal. I'm wondering if there was a change during the early production or they're being made slightly differently for different markets.

I like mine just the way they are, the eyelids wouldn't go with my color scheme.
