Thanks guys, the positive feedback makes it worthwhile to do this stuff.

Was the gold pinstripe metalized? How'd it go? Someone had indicated that metalized tape didn't conform too well, so the ptdiy guide has a caution about that.

Yes it was. Conforming was not the proble. I've done this before (a long time ago, and don't remember having as much problems with air bubbles--I actually removed one of the stripes from the door and re-did it because i was not happy with the result). All in all it was a good project--start to finish about and hour to an hour and a half.

I'll do some pics later when a I have a few minutes.

That sounds really nice. Can't wait to see some pictures. May I ask where you got the pin stripe from?

Bought it at the local auto parts store. When I post the pics I'll give the info. It is just ordinary vinyl pinstriping tape. It just takes some time patience and practice. I striped the midline for about 4 bucks and the other detail work for about 4 more.I'd been thinking about it and Rick's article motivated me. Besides the midline, I did the raised geometric design midway between the door handles and the bottom of the car with the double stripe tape and then split the tape to run a thin line over each raised curve over the wheelwells.

I took pics, but have to transfer them to the computer.
