Question Cruisers with white walls

I'm thinking about getting some white walls for the cruiser, but I have a few questions...

1. What size rim do you have them on?

2. What is the tire size?

3. Where did you get them?

4. What did they cost?

Also, I was thinking baby moons... any thoughts on that?

Thanks,
Mark

Coker is probably the most well known distibutor of wide-whites. They have them in both 15 and 16 inch sizes. P195r-15's or p205r-16's. They also have 2 and 3 inch wide whitewalls to choose from, radial or bias-ply. Wheel Vintiques has the smoothies and the moons, also companies called Wheel Smith, Pete Paulsen, and Stockton Wheels, all Calif. distributors can also set you up. They're not cheap..the tires alone are gonna run you right at $600.00..the smoothies (chrome or bare) are gonna cost around $500.00 with the caps (moons) and beauty rims. I know all about these guys, cause I've been calling for months to get a set of bare (paintable) smoothies for my own PT. The 16's weren't available till recently, and they're only available in a 6" wide wheel as we speak. The 7" ones will be available next month some time (or so they say). I gave up waiting for the 7 inchers, and have a set of 16x6's on the way right now. They'll be here next week..can't wait. The wheels, caps and rings set me back right at $500.00, and I still have to paint them (another $75.00-$100.00) when they get here. My Pt is Taupe frost metallic from the beltline up and silver from the beltline down. I'm gonna paint the wheels taupe also to match the top half, with gold-leaf dbl. pinstripes to match the ones I have separating the colors above. If I can get my hands on a digital camera, I'll post the photos when it's done.

I'm wanting to get the baby moons and wide whitewalls, too, whenever I have to get new tires. The pictures I've seen look great! 2-tone, please do post photos when you get yours finished!

Thumbs up babymoons and whitewalls

I bought my whitewalls at diamond back classics, I put on 15" tires and I got my babymoons at wheel vintiques. The tires were about $130.00 a piece. The # at Diamond is 1 888 928 7323 ask for Carroll Hill. You can see my inferno pt under performance a good sounding dual exhaust on the 2nd page

If you are buying white walls you want the radial tires not the bias-ply.. The Bias-ply are for show only. For daily driver you need the raidals...
