Default Re: broken a/c vent

For future reference, you can spin the vents around until they are horizontal, and you'll see a phillips head screw at the bottom of the vent, that holds the center cover panel in place. Remove those two screws and the entire face is now held in by pressure clips only. You can carefully pop it off, and you'll find your AC controls at the bottom holding the assembly in place, plus two power circuits (one for the clock and the other for the window controls), pull loose the orange retaining tabs then you can remove the power plugs. Now you can see the back side of the vents in question. I've popped mine out once because someone (who me???) dropped a piece of candy in there and couldn't get it out. doh...

Anyway, it's quite easy to do once you have the process down. By the way, the vents only expose the screws on one side, so if you don't see the screw head, rotate the vent 180 degrees and you should see it.
