so the PT is not a daily so not alot of use ...how do you guys keep the rotors from rusting and the ceramic pads together

i did a full brake job last year with the beest NAPA rotors and ceramic pads ...well this spring rotors were rusty and squeeling ..sso was gonna turn them but thought oh wll ill get new ones went to change them the pads fell apart split and fell off the backing

this is not cheap stuff rotors $200 pads $160

so whats the trick here
