Default Re: Octane Rating for 2008 Turbo?

Right, 91 Octane is recommended for the GT with the High Output Turbo. I was disappointed when all the stations around here lowered their premium from 93 to 91, cause I thought it ran a little better.

I've thought about trying the mid-grade 89, but haven't yet. Don't know if there would be any long-term effects from it.

On the positive side, Lola's 5-speed pulled a 28.0 mpg reading at the last fill-up compared to her brothers (with autos) which are doing about 23-25. So for $.20 difference in price I consider it a wash.

However diesel is another story...an oil burner doesn't get good enough mpg to justify itself with the $4.39 price of diesel around here...at least not by my standards.
