I was very lucky! Back when there was a six-month wait for Cruisers to be delivered, I let a retired AF Chief Master Sergeant I knew who worked at the local DC delaership that I was in the market for a Deep Cranberry Cruiser with a manual tranny. Lo and behold, a few weeks later, he phoned me and said a customer who had ordered a base Cranberry Cruiser with a stick shift had gotten tired of waiting for it to arrive and had opted to buy a Sebring instead. The customer's Cruiser had arrived that very morning and since it was a stick shift (which almost nobody around here wants), I would snap it up and use the good old DC employee discount. Which I did, very gladly.
