Just got mine today!  
As far as I can tell, everyone who submitted a photo is in the calendar. The top photos have a star, with their ranking.
The pics are grouped together in a common motif. (Patriotic, Gold Dream Cruisers, Sight-Seeing, etc.) Very nicely done.
