Thumbs up Another Bob S. GT intake installed

Well, we installed another BOB Stockum GT intake & bored TB in MNSHALES early PT Cruiser yesterday. while it was a little easier to install the 2nd one, we ran into a couple bumps that we didn't expect.

Early built PT (the 1st one's) are slightly different under the hood so the same mods I made on my car didn't exactly apply to his. We over came the issues, & even managed to modify his K&N FIPK intake to work with the new intake layout. Its not pretty, but it functions (FIPK) Some paint will be needed later.

Anyway, got the car together took it for a test drive to make sure everything was working properly. checked for leaks. Then... I took him for a LOOP on the Hwy. Man that car is LOUD!!! He had duals exhaust installed & the FIPK. but it was a very cool sound when he would pass by or if I was behind him.

We did take pics & notes on most of the install. He has them. we will develop the pics (yea I know but digital camera was not around when we started). we will wirite up the notes & get Bob to do the editing in case we forgot something.

when we are satisfied that it makes sense, then we will post it for you all. We figured if we did not have the issues & 3 trips to NAPA & Homedepot for parts, it would have taken 4-6 hrs for the install. Maybe less if we used air tools.

Its not a hard install, we did not cut or splice anything except the ERG tube as per BOB S. instuctions. As far as if it was worth it, you still we have to ask MNSHALE. Like BOB said it is an enabler. The next part to this should be the Cams, timing gears & Tensioner.

We now have all the air we can breath going in & out, we just need to work on the timing. Its not a turbo, but then again if he wanted to add one he still could.
