Maybe the next step should be to combine it with MX-5's intake location. Punch another hole in the lower airbox housing and run an insulated intake tube to the front beside the rad to draw in unlimited cold air. That would allow a positive air charge in the filter housing rather than the vacum induced draw in the current design.
