I was comparing your layout to the prospect of drawing air from beside the rad(cold air) into the stock airbox. This would allow positive air pressure at the intake and still allow for a quick and easy filter element change. In your setup it's a little more time consuming to change or clean the air filter because the driver's side wiper arm and cowling have to be removed each time.
The advantage yours has is that it isn't exposed to any direct water in wet weather so that is definitely not a problem. With ram air introduced to the stock air box I would hope the water would still drop to the bottom of the box as intended in the stock setup so that may not be a significant issue.
