I built many competition car stereos back in the days before rap music and break dancing.
I was in the NASCA - national autosound challenge assn.
The worst car was a 1980 Pinto.
I was 2 seats and all audio when I was done.
I even had to modify the door sealing gaskets to get it to seal up.
I used 2 Crown amps, dual batteries (there were no such things as boom capacitors), Kenwood head unit, Audiocontrol EQ, single 15" MTX elliminator, and about 20 Pyle speakers.
I live close enough to have lunch with Crown, Pyle, ElectroVoice, Rockford, and Magnepan.
I have a degree in electronics, and several of my instructors were engineers at Crown and EV.
I bought 15 of the CMA-1 Crown mobile amps in 1988!!!!
