Here's something to try:
At the next CTFregistration, ask for ten volunteers to test a "dramatic fuel-saving device." Tell all ten to keep accurate fuel-milage records for the month before CTF. Then at CTF, install the devices in only five of the Cruisers (but don't let anyone know who has what). Have the volunteers do the same fuel-milage recording for the next month. I would be surprised if ALL 10 Cruisers didn't see improvement in their milage, just from the drivers thinking they had a fuel-saving device on-board. If drivers are really concerned about fuel savings, they drive with fuel-savings always on their mind, and it reflects on their driving style.

The way to test this product is to do a true double-blind study. If the thing really works, it should work for folks who aren't even aware it's on board. but that would require a TRUE double-blind study, with people driving Cruisers that were modified without their knowledge. Anyone out there have access to a rental fleet of PT Cruisers so a proper test could be tried?

You know Bob, I have one on the '01 and my gas mpg went up 3 mpg. That's no puppy poop. When the '01 was mine I kept gas records from the time it was new, before and after I installed the spacer. Now the wife has the '01 and does and it's still true. The mpg is still up 3 mpg. I did not notice any power increase so that claim is BS.
