Default Satellite Radio. Good thing or not worth it?

I have a birthday coming up next month and as it is number 5 - 0 this year I am allowed to select a fairly big ticket item as my 'special' gift!

I am kind of leaning towards getting the Sirius satellite radio installed. I have a 2002 so I would have to get the receiver and the tuner as I don't think my radio is Satellite ready so it is a pretty major purchase. I spend a lot of time in the car commuting every day and as I like oldies music that is what I usually listen to. We only have one decent oldies station in the DC area and it gets kind of stale after a while, and even my CDs get tedious after a while.

So, bearing in mind I will have to pay the $12 a month subscription from the start do you think it is worth it? Or is it just a waste of good money that I could spend on other mods the my Cruiser?
