Your MPH seems to back up your statement that cold air works for Turbos!! You were more than a full MPH faster in the early A.M. with cooler air temps. ET was down a touch and you can attribute that to a number of things, but MPH is strictly a function of Horsepower!
What did you set your manual boost control at, and what levels were you seeing? Was the $115. for the K&N and the boost controller?
