I took my PT to a body shop located 1 1/2 hrs from me last week to have the bumpers & mirrors painted. They came out real nice but after washing the car today I noticed a problem. The body shop didn't take the bumper covers off to paint them, so I noticed paint overspray on about three quarters of the car; especially the front end & hood; some of the roof & rear hatch. This isn't anything you can see. You only notice it when you rub your hand across the paint. It's not as smooth as it used to be. I tried some swirl remover & wax on it, but it didn't take it away. However the car shines like it did before & you would never know there was some overspray on it.
So my dilema is, can anything be done about this & is it worth pursuing? Should I call the body shop & tell him about it? I'm a little worried that he might do more damage than good to try & fix it. Plus he's 1 1/2 hours away from me & I don't think I can't be without my car for another week. Is there any product I can try myself? Like I said I think I can live with it the way it is because it is not noticable unless you rub you're hand across the paint, but still it is not right. I went to this particualr body shop because I had seen another PT he did & he did a nice job on it (used the flex agent, etc.)
I have an appointment next weekend with Magic Pineapple to get my lake pipes installed, so maybe I should just wait & get his professional opinion.
Or maybe this is my excuse to get those flames I want

(Too bad I can't afford them.)
